Fifi pyjamas

The only thing which could have made me more excited to make up my Tilly Fifi set was the perfect fabric, which was a blue and green Liberty London lawn from Sew over it! I bought 2m of this lovely soft lawn, which I spent an inordinately long amount of time carefully cutting because I was scared of ruining it such nice fabric, but all went well, and it was so nice to sew.

I'd read that this pattern was trickier than others of Tilly's, because of the shaping in the bodice, however heading this I read and re-read the pattern a few times before I started sewing and actually had no difficulties with it at all!

french seams

I was happy with my first time using french seams, as they made the finished set feel so much more professional! I changed the bias binding for a contrast binding, and plan to sew a small bow to the centre front when I find the right one.

Now its time for a nice cup of 'Sleep Easy' (chamomile, valerian, cinnamon, and orange) tea from last months buddy box! Good night!
